Is the President a modern Nero?

It is said that Nero fiddled while Rome burned. Is it possible that history will say of Obama that he played golf while the world burned?

The way things look right now, my guess is that is exactly how history will judge Barack Obama.

His advisers tell him Putin wants the Crimea. Obama makes a speech and runs off to a fund raiser. Putin has the Crimea.

His advisers tell him Putin wants a destabilized Ukraine and an intimidated Europe. Obama makes a speech and goes fund raising. Putin now has a destabilized Ukraine and an intimidated Europe.

Assad uses chemical weapons. Obama makes a speech and… right, goes fund raising. Assad still has chemical weapons.

His advisers tell him ISIS has over 100 Americans with American passports fighting in their ranks. They tell him ISIS is planning on an attack here, on our soil. He doesn’t even give a speech.

His advisers tell him ISIS is invading Iraq and are persecuting and massacring Christians. Obama does give a speech blaming the Iraq government, does nothing about it and –yep, goes on a fund raising trip.

His advisers tell him that ISIS now has as many as 40 or 50 thousand Christians and religious minorities trapped on a mountain top with no food or water and says they are going to massacre them. He sends an air drop of food and water –enough for 8,000. –Then he packs for vacation.

His advisers tell him ISIS is in the open, stretched out and easy prey for air attacks. He says “It’s an Iraq problem” –but he allows a few small air strikes against ISIS units firing on the civilians on the mountain top -and leaves to go on vacation.

The Kurds say “Don’t send American troops to fight. We’ll fight and defeat ISIS, just send us the arms and ammunition you have been promising for 8 years but we haven’t gotten yet. That’s all we need.” Obama is on vacation and doesn’t even answer them.

If there is anyone out there, anyone at all, who does not think ISIS will plan and carry out a successful strike on US soil in the near future – tell them to go see a Psychiatrist right away. They need serious help.

And when the attack comes if we don’t unite in defeating ISIS and all terrorists once and for all (the first step of which must be replacing our vacationing leader with someone who is serious about doing the job) –we will suffer the consequences and they will be dire.

Right now I'm having amnesia and déjà vu at the same time. I think I've forgotten this before.
