It’s a mad world (or just stupid?...)

Researchers recording various mammals' urination habits (rats, dogs, goats, cows and elephants), have concluded that, regardless of size, each takes about 21 seconds to empty a full bladder. (I wonder how many tax dollars it cost us to find out that piece of trivia)

In 2008 a preliminary hearing marked the first time a dog had been called as a formal witness in a murder case. "Scooby Doo" was brought into a courtroom in France so that a judge could watch how he reacted when he approached the defendant, who was accused of killing Scooby's master. The dog "barked furiously," helping convince the judge in the Paris suburb of Nanterre to set the case for trial. (The first one that makes a crack about justice going to the dogs buys the next round)

Facebook confirmed that when the company inaugurated its first "cloud" data-storage facility in 2011, the equipment was "drenched" when an actual cloud formed inside the building. The tall, building's huge cooling units use an electricity-saving system that takes air from the outside (rather than re-circulated indoor air) and subjects it to various humidity levels to cool the heat coming from the aisles of computer servers. Apparently, engineers had not accurately anticipated the vapor condensation properties of the new system.

Dumb Criminals (really dumb):

(1) Korey Harris, a defensive lineman for West Virginia University's football team, was arrested for a home invasion he allegedly committed while wearing his practice sweatpants emblazoned with his jersey number (96).
(2) Police in Boston are confident that Zachary Tentoni is the man who robbed a woman in the yard of Harbor Middle School because, as he grabbed her purse and fled, he dropped two bags he was carrying. Among the contents: Tentoni's birth certificate and a letter from his mother.

I’ll stop for now –if I write more of these in one day my psychologist charges a higher hourly rate…
