The Mossad Wants You

The Israeli intelligence agency is looking for new recruits.

The Mossad has started posting listing for new positions on their website. Among them, are field agents, intelligence officers and computer experts. Among the listed requirements: willing to make frequent, short trips abroad , “creativity” and readiness to think outside the box, master foreign languages, and have an ability to “create one’s own reality and play a central role in it.”

Most of the openings are for the Caesarea branch of the organization- the operational department that employs combatant units and hit men and women. This branch allegedly participated in the killing of Hammas commander Mahmoud al-Mabhouh in January 2010.

More posts are intended to high-tech experts, acknowledging the importance of electronic warfare and intelligence. Security analysts claim that this step proves that the once traditional agency is catching up with the internet revolution and is open to widen its search for people who wouldn’t have been recruited in the past.

Meir Dagan, the outgoing leader wrote in the website “The Mossad's mainstay is its people. People serving in the Mossad are required to give to Israel of their talents, their dedication and their courage. We are always seeking the best and most suitable to join us. This web site is your gateway. The website describes the spirit and values motivating the Mossad. You will also find information on how to apply to become one of us.”
